Trails of Fun

May continued to be such a fun month! Cute little Hank... well not so little anymore.. graduated from preschool. Randy invited me to attend the "graduation ceremony" - I'm sure Annie prompted him to call me! But THANKS for the invite. It was great fun. When Hank ran out at the beginning with all his preschool mates... he ran right over and sat by me! Oh... a tear of happiness slid down my cheek... but darn, he got asked to go sit with his class, go figure.


While Hank was leading his friends (by holding the flag) Max was joining in on the fun. He just knew that he was BIG enough to be with his brother!


Then we all had a proud moment as Hank was named the #1 BEST counter in his preschool class. He can recognize AND count to 100! What a smartie!!


It was so fun to be there and watch Hank. What a fun grandma moment!!

On Saturday morning, Scott and I went TIMP hiking... well, just to the cave (thankfully!) with Jenni, Dyson and Colby... oh and Ryan, Colby's bear.


The hike up was beautiful .. and HIGH.... I think the parking lot is down there somewhere...


Scott seemed a little "nervous" but Dyson and Colby were ready to go! They each had their trusty walking sticks that Scott had made for them.

We had to make a mad dash thru this "tunnel" of rock while Scott held it up for us....


The hike was a little tougher than I remembered but of course I was younger the last time I went. But it was worth it. It is so amazing and beautiful inside the cave.

Great month of fun... next up.. Portland and Rusty's graduation!!

May DAYS

What an exciting month and its not even half way done! Let's start at the very beginning (of May). May Day... aka Annie's 29th bday. Went to lunch with her and her family... lovely time had by all. She loved the dress I gave her so much that she had just bought one just like it but in a different color!! What great taste we have!!

Up next... that evening.. the play WICKED! Oh yeh! Scott bought tickets for Jenni and I way back in October. It turns out he also bought tickets for himself and his daughter Jamie and kept that a secret until the parking lot. How DID he do that??!! The play was absolutely Great! WONDERFUL! Oh so PopUlar! I loved it.. and want to see it again and again. Thanks Scott!! What a fun evening! And the internet has rumors of a WICKED movie coming soon.


Mid week was Jenni-kunz birthday. I took her to lunch and to shop... what more could a daughter want?! Her bday was on Wed but she had her BIG 30th birthday bash on Friday. Lynn put together a great gift for Jenni inviting us all to be a part of her surprise. Tickets to Fleetwood Mac and a terrific massage!




But before the BIG bash... Scott and I had 3 special guests come to stay with us.......

Rick, Hank and Max!! Rick came to visit for a few days.. to include Mother's Day. Hank and Max stayed with us while Randy and Annie went to Fiji... yeh, I know.


Hank was so excited to see Rick. He told me he wanted his room with Rick.

Max our little go-getter! He bumped/scraped/messed up his head on SCOTT'S watch!! Apparently instead of going down the outside steps backwards.. he went forward. I think I have a picture like this of Randy somewhere.....

We tatted up Hank while he was with us. Hope his parents are ok with these... looks pretty tough!

Dyson, Colby, Hank and Max had a great time hanging out together. Dyson and Colby were great to play with their younger cousins. They took good care of them!!


I had such a good time with the boys and I was so happy to have Rick visit. I miss him so much! Come back soon Rick... even better.. MOVE back here!!
