Wedding Bells Rang and We Sang!

Chicago!! Yep... we headed for Chicago ... seems like FOREVER ago but it was only last week... for THE wedding of the year! Annie has done a terrific job highlighting the trip so I will only add a few pics of mine.

We arrived in Chicago Friday afternoon.. picked up tuxes and ate GREAT Chicago pizza at Clair and Jimmy's. Saturday we were on our own. We went as a VERY LARGE FROM OUT OF STATE GROUP! No one could tell we were tourists.. No one!

First Stop... Chicago Central Station:

This was a very beautiful building.. it made us all want to ride a train!



We then went for a nice little walk and ended up at the Sears Tower - which is now the Willis Tower. While we were waiting outside - in the LONG line - in the HEAT... Scott found some new friends to chat with. He had to find out what they were doing to that flag!! (they were fixing a misshaped star)


Once we got inside and thru the LONG line (with a 2 1/2 hr wait) we traveled to the TOP to see Chicago. This is the view from as high as we could get!

I ventured out on the glass SHELF (that's what it felt like) to take a picture DOWN.

I felt pretty brave because I am REALLY scared of heights... those are my toes.

That night we gathered for a FEAST. Great food and great company!

Below are my "kids" at the party. One might ask "where's Collette?" I told Rusty we needed to redo the pic with Collette there.. he said NO... there will be plenty of pictures tomorrow... so NOT my fault.. lol

Dyson and Hank were practicing clicking their glasses together and making a toast to the couple.

I'm not at all sure what Justin ans Scott are doing. Any ideas?

But I do have an idea what Randy and Lindsey had been doing..

Colby had a little accident - hit his head and his mom and dad took him off to the emergency room. After that, the party ended. There were a couple of people that didn't want it to end.


Sunday morning was THE day that's been in the making for a year. And it was BEAUTIFUL!

It was a wonderful day. A lot of dancing, laughing, smiling and singing. Perfect for THE wedding of the YEAR!! Thanks Collette and Rusty for a wonderful time.

Two Years and Counting...

... two years ago Scott and I tied the knot. So in celebration I'm putting pics of our years today in this post. It's a little difficult for me to dedicate a post strictly about me as I would much prefer to blog about my fun weekend with Jenni, Lynn, Randy, Annie and my TERRIFIC and partially PERFECT grandsons...BUT.. I forgot my camera. So here's to me and Scott. Love ya babe!

Oh the places you'll go...

Scott loves to travel. So that's what we do. We visited the Oklahoma Memorial.... it was a very solemn experience. Each one of these chairs represent a person who lost their life that day. The small chairs represent children.


We visited Salem... not too many witches around but we found a friend for Scott.

We both tried out for the play "Big River"... oh the Nunsuch of it all!

We "flew" in a glider and have had high adventures on 4 wheelers... with more to come!

We've seen the sights (and Ben and Jerry's factory) in New Hampshire, Vermont, Cayman Islands, Jackson Hole, Massachusetts...

and walked on the beach in Maine.

We've shared in the challenges and joys of our families.... as well as the BYU football team. This was a happy day .... Max came into our lives.
