NYC - nothing like it!!

It's been 2 weeks since Jenni and I got back from our short but fun trip to NYC. We packed a lot into the few days we had there. There is SO much to see and so much to do we definitely need another trip to get it all done.

We 'red-eyed' it to NYC - left Salt Lake at 11:59 pm on Wednesday evening. We arrived in NYC at 5:30 am Eastern (3:30 Mtn time). We were TIRED. Our first experience with NYC was some guy at the curb in a dark sedan offering to take us to the city for $45. Not sure WHERE in the city he would have taken us but that was a no deal. We got in line for the yellow cab and took off. About 45 minutes later we were at our hotel. The hotel was nice enough to give us our room (check in isn't until 3:00) right then. We grabbed some food at the BEST EVER continental breakfast then took a nap for a couple of hours. We were showered and out the door by 10. Our hotel was around the corner from the Empire State Building so we walked there and then hooked up with the city tour bus. We never stopped until we hit the airport again Saturday afternoon. There were several very old churches... this is an old Lutheran church that you can tour. We didn't as we had seen an old Lutheran church in Norway. Still cool looking...

And... wait for it..... WICKED!!!! Friday night we saw Wicked on Broadway - very awesome. We bought us each an awesome Wicked jacket and I have THE COOLEST Wicked pen!! Loved it~ Not a bad seat in the theater.

Us waiting to go to our seats... it was great. Funny thing.. two ladies from Santaquin were sitting behind us!! It's a Small World after all -- ohh that will be our NEXT big adventure!!


We had a wonderful time. A terrific mother/daughter trip. Thanks mom and dad - couldn't have done it without you!!
