We did a little celebrating the week of July 18th - kindof a mini Reid family reunion. Pam minus Alan and Sheryl with Steve came to Utah for a short visit. Pam had half her kids here, Sheryl had half her kids and I had half of mine as well. But we had a great time anyway.
Sunday we had a little BBQ so we could get together and visit. It was a VERY HOT day! Whew.. we ate outside then quickly came inside and jammed into the living room to visit leaving the cool, almost cold, basement empty. Go figure.
Scott created delicious dutch oven ribs! yum yum and his now "famous" dutch oven chocolate cake. Too good for words.

Klara (Jaymi's baby) wouldn't let any of us hold her and then she went to Scott. Apparently he communicates well with children.....

Scott found another "victim" to teach craving to. Caleb loved it. He did a pretty good job on Mickey Mouse.

The in-laws of the cousins or something like that. I'm not sure what that makes them to us.. out laws?? Steven is married to Jaymi and Catherine is married to Daniel - though I have a lot of pictures of Steven and Cat together~
Becca turned 15 the next day. We sang to her but she was embarrassed. I didn't think we sang THAT bad!!

"Happy Together"
THREE Years... only... but it feels like I've known him forever. We started as friends years ago but then the time came when two hurt hearts found each other and made each other happy. I am so grateful/happy/lucky/thankful.. all those words and more ... to have Scott in my life. He loves me.. and he loves the most important people in my life - my kids and grandkids. CHEERS to Us and to many more wonderful, fun, happy years together!!

It's Been So Long...
It's been so long since I've blogged. I had problems uploading pics from my camera. Turns out.. operator error. I now have a little catching up to do. .. I'll work my way backwards.
Yesterday (July 3rd) was my mother's 88th birthday. I invited her, my nephew Daniel, Randy/Annie and kids, Jenni/Lynn and kids over for a BBQ. Randy and Annie added to the fun with a load of fireworks that we lit in the street outside my house.

We had a terrific time - lots of food, chatter, excitement AND each other.
Last weekend - I had fun playing grandma from Thursday night to Saturday morning. Randy and Annie went to Portland to visit the brothers. Their boys shared the love and stayed with several of us during the weekend. Hank is the MASTER of the Wii at my house!
Friday morning when Max woke up at 5:30 am - I knew I had to wear them out! Hank, Max, Dyson, Colby and I played hard all day. To include Jump on IT, the Park, playing soccer while the sprinklers were on, movies, popcorn and rootbeer. And somewhere in there was helping Scott do some yard work. We had a great mini vacation that day!!
Scott and I celebrated Father's Day at the cabin with Jamie and Jayden. No pictures as I forgot my camera. We had a good time... we were able to visit, watch movies and REST. It was a fun 2 days.
BUT right before Father's Day... the creek by our house EXPLODED with water. And to top that off - on the 16th a HUGE wind storm hit Lehi. It broke a fairly good sized limb off my tree in the backyard. (this wasn't event the limb we were worried about). Thankfully, it missed my windows!
Before Randy and Annie went to Portland, I went. I hung out with the Oregon kiddos. As my luck continually has it - it rained the ENTIRE TIME. Collette told me it was "the wettest" winter in Portland history.

Rusty's birthday was after I left Portland. Since they were on their way to Jamaica I gave him his birthday present early. Whatever could it be???

We had a nice Mother's Day dinner with Cat and Daniel joining Grandma Reid, Randy and Annie, Jenni and Lynn, my wonderful grandsons and Scott and I in our celebration of mothers.
Most of the time has been mostly watching the grandkids play and achieve - like Hank taking 1st place in his karate tournament, Dyson scoring BIG time in soccer, Colby playing machine pitch and Max just being an almost 3 yr old!
